Avishek Das Gupta

Bio

Avishek Das Gupta is a Ph.D. student in Fiber and Polymer Science at North Carolina State University. He earned his B.Sc. in Textile Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Textiles in the Department of Textile Machinery Design and Maintenance, where he conducted research in IoT applications and object detection. His current research focuses on applying artificial intelligence to textile and manufacturing processes.

After completing his bachelor’s degree, Avishek worked as a Process Auditor at Silver Composite Textile Mills Ltd., a leading woven fabric manufacturer in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He later joined International Standard University as a Lecturer in the Department of Textile Engineering to pursue his passion for academia.

Outside of his academic and professional commitments, Avishek enjoys playing badminton, solving Sudoku puzzles, and cycling.
